Over 570 owners and operators have been involved with the Viscount. Some like Capital Airlines (USA) and BEA - British European Airways Corporation operated many while others like Air Anglia operated only one.

Viscounts operated by large airlines who had their aircraft for many years will have painted them in several different versions of their livery.

Delivered new to Trans-Australia Airlines (TAA) named 'Thomas Mitchell'. Taken departing from Eagle Farm Airport, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in June 1966.

Trans-Australia Airlines (TAA)

This aircraft c/n 181, a V.756D, was built for Trans-Australia Airlines (TAA) as VH-TVK and first flew on Thursday, 10 January 1957 at Hurn, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.

Its final owner/operator was Sims Metal Ltd as VH-TVK.

Its fate:-

Operated its final Trans-Australia Airlines (TAA) service then placed in storage at Essendon Airport, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 30 December 1968. Cancelled from the Australian Civil Aircraft Register 13 May 1970. Remains sold to Sims Metal Ltd and broken up into sections for removal to their yard at Brooklyn, Western Melbourne, Victoria, Australia..
