We need your help
This Viscount website has only recently been created and there is a great deal of historical
information and thousands of photographic images that need locating and uploading to provide
as full a history of each individual aircraft as possible. We needed to go live in order to
allow us, the part-time web builders, to gain access to the site at the same time as developing
the system.
Our ultimate aim is to have an image of every single aircraft in every livery that it operated,
together with images showing significant moments in each aircrafts life. Any photograph, even
a poor quality one, that shows an unique part of an aircrafts history, is better than not having
one at all. Our graphic systems can restore all but the worst image - see examples. This target
will probably never be totally fulfilled, but with your help it could come close.
Information is also important in telling the story of the Viscount so if you had dealings with
the Viscount, or can help us with research like finding contemporary newspaper articles relating
to the Viscount, or are able to research the files of a company involved with the Viscount, we
will be pleased to hear from you.
In the meantime, please be patient with us while we iron out the bugs and transfer the masses of
data that we have ready to upload. At the moment there are some inaccuracies that have crept in
during the data transfer phase and these will be dealt with as soon as possible as our aim is to
provide a full and true history of this most famous of airliners.
If you can help, or notice any inaccuracies, please contact us at
Information@VickersViscount.net.
