This V.828 series Viscount was built for Vickers-Armstrongs (Aircraft) Ltd as JA8208 It first flew on Tuesday, 18 September 1962 at Hurn, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England powered by Rolls-Royce Dart 525 engines.
During its life this aircraft was also owned and/or operated by All Nippon Airways (ANA), Servicios Aereos Nacionales (SAN), Transportes Aereas del Cesar Ltda (TAC), Aerocesar Colombia and Intercontinental Colombia

Its final owner/operator was Aeroelectronica as HK-2404.Its fate:- Withdrawn from service by Intercontinental de Aviación and stored at Eldorado International Airport, Bogotá, Colombia in October 1994. Noted in February 2001 with the wings removed converted into a bar and fitted out with a television and a sound system and parked in front of the Aeroelectronica maintenance facility. It is used for private entertaining. Noted still in existence 5 October 2018 but in a derelict condition. Noted stored in a compound 14 July 2019 along with other complete aircraft and sections.

Damaged after the undercarriage collapsed during a landing at Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan.
There were no reported injuries to the passengers and crew on board.
Repaired and returned to service.

Damaged after the forward door opened in flight

Damaged after the forward door opened in flight at a low level releasing the integral front 'airsteps'. The door broke away and hit the No.2 (port inner) propeller and then penetrated the forward fuselage. The No.2 Dart engine and nacelle nearly broke away from the aircraft. The crew shut down the No.2 engine and landed safely at Guayaquil Airport, Ecuador.

Purchased from Servicios Aereos Nacionales (SAN) after an in-flight incident initially as a source of spares and ferried from Simón Bolívar International Airport, Guayaquil, Ecuador to Eldorado Airport, Bogotá, Colombia for storage. Repairs were carried out to the forward fuselage and the No.2 engine nacelle before the ferry flight.
