It had arrived the day before after its first flight from Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.

It was in a basic All Nippon Airways (ANA) livery.

ANA titles were applied after it arrived in Japan.

Note the integral front 'airsteps'.

Just visible behind is the nose of a Royal Air Force Vickers Valiant in anti-flash white.
