The THY aircraft behind are Fokker F-27 Friendship TC-TON and Douglas DC-3 TC-ETI which crashed in March 1964.

Delivered new to Türk Hava Yollari - Turkish Airlines (THY). A publicity shot in June 1966 in the third livery and showing more of the City of Istanbul than the aircraft.

It is flying over the Golden Horn Inlet.

Judging by the shape of the outer wing the photo is being taken from a Douglas DC-3.

Delivered new to Türk Hava Yollari - Turkish Airlines (THY). Taken at Yeşilköy Airport, Istanbul, Turkey in June 1967.

Maintenance is being performed on the No.1 Rolls-Royce Dart RDa6 Mark 510 engine which is easy with the petal cowlings fully opened up.

Another engineer is opening up the access panel to the No.2 Accessory Gearbox bay behind the engine.

This gearbox was driven by a shaft from the engine and had various ancilliary units fitted to it such as a hydraulic pump, electrical DC generator and compressor pump.

Maintenance is being performed on the No.1 Rolls-Royce Dart RDa6 Mark 510 engine which is easy with the petal cowlings fully opened up.

Note the silver tubular Engine Mounting Strut.

This Vickers designed part was also utilised by Armstrong Whitworth on the Argosy, Avro on the 748, Grumman on the Gulfstream I and Handley Page on the Herald. Fokker designed their own Strut.

The nacelle cowlings have been removed and the Rolls-Royce Dart engines protected during a period of storage outside.

Transferred from Türk Hava Kuvvetleri (Turkish Air Force) for use as a ground instructional aircraft by students from the nearby Anadolu Universitesi - School of Civil Aviation.

Taken at Hasan Polatkan Airport, Eskişehir, Turkey 29 April 1999.

It is parked next to the small terminal building with the control tower on top.

The identity of the aircraft is no longer carried.

Taken at Hasan Polatkan Airport, Eskişehir, Turkey 23 February 2007 and parked on a ramp not far from the terminal building.

It was last seen here in 2014.
