Ghana Airways

April 1961

Delivered new to Ghana Airways. Taken at Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England 28 April 1961 with the fuselage awaiting its turn on the production line in the Erecting Shop.

The fuselage behind is 9G-AAV (C/N 371).

The four aircraft further down the line are G-ARKZ (C/N 445), D-ANAC (C/N 370), G-ARKY (C/N 444) and furthest away ZK-BWO (C/N 428).

Ghana Airways
9G-AAW
August 1961

Delivered new to Ghana Airways. Taken at Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire 16 August 1961 on the production line in the Erecting Shop.

The three aircraft behind are G-ARKZ (C/N 445), G-ARWT (C/N 448) both for All Nippon Airways (ANA) and 9G-AAU (C/N 446), another for Ghana Airways.

This aircraft was certainly being built well out of sequence to those behind.

Delivered new to Ghana Airways. Taken at Port Bouët Airport, Abidjan, Ivory Coast 1 November 1967 with additional Nigeria Airways titles on the rear fuselage for a joint service with Ghana Airways between Accra, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria.

The aircraft behind is an Air Afrique Douglas DC-8.

A new terminal building is under construction.

Note the letters 'FOZ' on the nose undercarriage doors.
