Purchased from South African Airways (SAA). Taken at Birmingham International Airport, Elmdon, West Midlands, England 19 January 1973 after the port main undercarriage leg collapsed on landing and the aircraft veered off onto the grass.

After repairs and replacement of the two shockloaded Dart engines the aircraft was returned to service.

Will was working at the airport at the time of the accident and managed to get permission to take this great photo of the aircraft surrounded by the airport fire crews.
