The aircraft is moving away from the area specially prepared for checking the accuracy of the compass.

A compass swing is normally carried out after an engine change as the magnetic influence of such a large piece of mixed metals may have affected the compass.

Adjustments were made through the access panel at the rear of the fuselage which in this view has been removed.
