Returned from Transportes Aereos Centro Americanos (TACA) lease. Taken at Bacolod-Silay Airport, Philippines in October 1965.

It is being repaired under a temporary covering after the nose undercarriage leg collapsed on landing on the 17 October 1965.

All the Rolls-Royce Dart engines have been removed due to shockload damage when the propellers contacted the runway.

Roy worked for Vickers (later BAC) and had flown up from his base in Australia to carry out an investigation.

During a positioning flight the aircraft landed and veered to the left and despite the crew trying to correct it with opposite rudder, steering and brakes it ran off the side of the runway and collided with a snow embankment.

It remained in Falconair Charter AB livery since its withdrawal from service in June 1970.


This airport closed in December 1971 and was replaced by the new one at Sturup.
