Delivered new to Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA) with fleet number '643'. Taken at Prestwick Airport, Ayrshire, Scotland 3 May 1958 during the delivery to Canada.

The cabin is empty apart from some large boxes stacked at the centre-of-gravity point, containing spare parts.

It was being flown by Vickers pilot W (Bill?) Cairns.

It arrived at Winnipeg Airport, Manitoba, Canada 5 May.

This shows a group of cub scouts who visited the TCA maintenance base and were about to be treated to a local flight.

Don's father George worked for TCA as an electronics engineer and helped organise this very popular annual event.

This aircraft had only just been delivered to TCA.

Purchased from Beaver Enterprises Ltd. Taken at Dorval International Airport, Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada 14 September 1978 shortly after its arrival from Cartierville, Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada.

It is still in its ex Air Canada livery less titles.

It departed the following day to continue its journey across to the UK where it was overhauled before it was finally delivered to the Republic of Zaire.
