The engineer in the lower right is already getting ready to push his maintenance steps out to the front door of the aircraft even before the passenger steps have been brought out to the rear door.

In the background is BEA Viscount G-APJU (C/N 413) which has not yet been painted in the new 'Red Square' livery.

Taken at Collinstown Airport, Dublin, Ireland on the 7 November 1963 with the Beatles pop group disembarking, led by Paul McCartney with John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr following behind. They had arrived from London and were performing that evening at the Adelphi Cinema in Dublin.

The French built Sud SE-210 Caravelle replaced the Viscount on Alitalia routes to London with Swissair replacing their piston powered Convair twins.
