Ordered by BOAC Associated Companies. Taken at Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England in June 1957 on the production line in the Erecting Shop.

It is painted in a BOAC livery with British West Indian Airways (BWIA) titles prior to going on lease to them.

The aircraft behind is VP-TBU (C/N 237).

March 1962

Leased from BOAC Associated Companies. Taken at Miami International Airport, Florida, USA circa March 1962 with simplified BWIA titles dropping the 'Overseas' part.

The full name is in small letters on the rear fuselage.

Presumably BWIA was an easier name to market.

The extended range 'slipper' fuel tanks were removed before the aircraft entered service.
