The sale to Capital Airlines with fleet number '390' was not completed. Taken stored at Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England circa September 1957.

The bare metal has been covered in a blue protective coating with the registration still visible on the tail fairing. The tail itself is painted white.

Delivered new to Northeast Airlines Inc after conversion from V.745D to V.798D. Taken during a pre-delivery test flight from Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England in August 1958 along the south coast.

Note the high angle of the nose of the aircraft so as to keep pace with the slower photo plane, which was generally a de Havilland Dove.

Delivered new to Northeast Airlines Inc after conversion from V.745D to V.798D. Taken at Logan Airport, Boston, Massachusetts, USA 15 November 1961 after it was struck by the departing National Airlines Douglas DC-6B N8228H.

The Viscount had just landed and the DC-6B started its takeoff run on an intersecting runway without being authorised to do so.

Remarkably no one was killed or seriously injured in either aircraft!
