Indian Airlines Corporation (IAC)
VT-DIO
July 1957

Delivered new to Indian Airlines Corporation (IAC) named 'Madhya Pradesh'. Taken at Hurn Airport, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England in July 1957 during the ground running phase prior to its first flight.

Note the English titles on this side of the fuselage, with Hindi script on the starboard side.

It was originally allocated the registration VT-DIE but presumably someone felt that this was inappropriate.

Sadly, it didn't prevent it from crashing in 1963.
