Note the weather radar nose which was installed circa 1962 as a result of an airworthiness directive following the crash of VH-TVC (C/N 46).

Despite the lack of injuries to those on board, this was clearly a 'newsworthy' event.

A closeup of the curled starboard propellers which meant that the Rolls-Royce Dart engines were now unserviceable due to shockload damage to the bearings, shafts and casings.
