Delivered new to British European Airways (BEA) named 'R M A Sir George Strong Nares'. Taken at London Airport (Heathrow), Middlesex, England in September 1957 on a stand in front of the Europa Terminal and Queen's Building after a heavy rain shower.

The black hangars in the background with a Lockheed Constellation in front belong to BOAC who also carried out maintenance and servicing work for other airlines using Heathrow, primarily those from the British Commonwealth.

Both the Wellington and the Avro 504 in the background are now in the RAF Museum, the 504 in London and the Wellington at Cosford in the Restoration Centre.
