The aircraft in front is N7419 (C/N 117) with N7421 (C/N 119) behind.

It had arrived from the USA and night-stopped here before flying down to Wisley Airfield, Surrey, England the following morning.

It departed the following day back to Colombia. To the left is the nose of G-APOW (C/N 72).

Purchased from Alitalia. Taken at East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington, Leicestershire, England circa January 1972 inside the Field Aircraft Services Ltd hangar undergoing major repairs following a recent accident.

The repairs included using the outer wings from ex Alitalia donor aircraft I-LOTT (C/N 330).

This was the first time that both outer wings had been transferred from one Viscount to another.
