Delivered new to Iraqi Airways named 'Ibn Battouta'. Taken overflying an unknown location circa January 1956.

Delivered new to Iraqi Airways named 'Ibn Battouta'. Taken at Teversham Airport, Cambridge, England in May 1958.

It is being dismantled by staff from Marshall's ready for induction into their facility for major repairs following a heavy landing at London Airport (Heathrow), Middlesex, England.

It didn't return to service until January 1959.

Iraqi Airways

Delivered new to Iraqi Airways named 'Ibn Battouta'. Taken at Teversham Airport, Cambridge, England circa October 1958.

It had undergone a major rebuild with Marshall's following a heavy landing at London Airport (Heathrow) in May.

Following engine ground runs in the grass embankment area seen in the right background it is now taxiing out for a test flight.

Note the Kingdom of Iraq flag on the tail.

It is parked in the maintenance area on the south side of the airport.

Delivered new to Iraqi Airways named 'Ibn Battouta'. Taken at Teversham Airport, Cambridge, England circa August 1966.

It is being towed to a dedicated area where there is a sound deadening grass embankment so that the Rolls-Royce Dart engines can be ground run.

Viscounts were a common sight while undergoing maintenance with Marshall's.

Note the later Republic of Iraq national flag on the tail.

Leased from Alidair named 'Sarnia'. Taken at Duerne Airport, Antwerp, Belgium 28 March 1979 in a unique Alidair Scotland livery.

The aircraft in front is G-BDRC (C/N 52) with Alidair and the one behind is G-AVJB (C/N 375) with Intra Airways.

They were all operating charter flights from the UK bringing tourists on day trips.
