OD-ACV - CAA - Central African Airways - February 1961 to January 1968

Purchased from BOAC Associated Companies. Taken at Salisbury, Rhodesia 25 February 1961 after its arrival from the UK on delivery, still in its MEA livery.

This aircraft c/n 241, a V.754D, was built for BOAC Associated Companies as OD-ACV and first flew on Thursday, 19 September 1957 at Hurn, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.

During its life it was also owned and/or operated by MEA - Middle East Airlines, CAA - Central African Airways, Air Rhodesia and Aviation Equipment, Spares & Service

Its final owner/operator was Air Zimbabwe as Z-WJI.

Its fate:-

Withdrawn from service by Air Zimbabwe and stored at Harare, Zimbabwe in June 1984. Total time 42,788 hours and 33,800 landings.
